Drowning Kitten Saved By Coast Guard

Work wasn’t over for two members of Italy’s Coast Guard after they completed their trip searching for refugees in distress. A group of children called to them saying a kitten had fallen into the harbor. After one of the coast guards dived into the water to save the lifeless looking kitten, the officers performed CPR, mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and cardiac massage. The kitten began to faintly meow. One of the officers shouted in Italian, “She breathes, she breathes.” The kitten is now in good health. Port authorities decided to adopt the kitten and have named him Charlie.
