Dogs Rescued From Flooded Kennels

Several dogs left behind when their owners evacuated are safe tonight. Some concerned neighbors out surveying the damage in Lakeland, Florida, came across four dogs trapped in flooded kennels with high water surrounding them. With the help of animal control, the dogs were carried one by one to safety. The owners had evacuated the home on Sunday ahead of Hurricane Irma. They will be able to claim the dogs at the local animal shelter when they return.
