What Did You Do Last Weekend? Dallas ISD Board President Won't Stop Running in World's Biggest Marathon

Dan Micciche worked through a nearly five-hour slog on Saturday. And no, it wasn't at a Dallas ISD board meeting.Micciche, the board president, finished his 26th New York City Marathon on Sunday, in a time of 4 hours, 57 minutes."It is an OK time for the limited amount of training I did," he said.Micciche is among a rarefied group of runners at the world's biggest marathon. Only 224 runners have 25 or more finishes over the race's 47 -year history. A tax attorney at Akin Gump, Micciche said he continues to run the NYC Marathon because "it is an exciting race regardless of the time. It is something special to shoot for." Overall, it was his 31st marathon. His first marathon was the White Rock Marathon in 1984, a few months after Joan Benoit Samuelson won gold medal at Los Angeles Summer Olympics.
