Watch: Texas Congressman Suggests DNC Hack Could Have Been ‘insider Job,' Citing Internet Rumors

WASHINGTON -- A Texas Republican congressman suggested Wednesday that the hacking of the Democratic Party’s email servers could have been an “insider job,” pointing to “stuff circulating on the internet” as evidence.Rep. Blake Farenthold, R-Corpus Christi, said in an interview on CNN that he was concerned the focus on Russian interference in the election “is deflecting away from some other things that we need to be investigating.”“There’s still some question as to whether the intrusion at the DNC server was an insider job or whether or not it was the Russians,” Farenthold said.When the CNN anchors asked Farenthold for evidence of the explosive allegation, he said, “There’s stuff circulating on the internet.”  Continue reading...
