Surveillance Footage Leads to Man's Arrest in April Fatal Shooting in East Oak Cliff

A 19-year-old man has been charged with murder in an April fatal shooting after someone recognized his photo from surveillance footage, police said. Antoine White, 37, was found dead about 4:15 a.m. April 28 in the 1800 block of Kingsley Drive in east Oak Cliff. He had been shot multiple times. Several people identified the suspect from surveillance footage released by police as John Edward Morgan.Morgan was arrested Saturday. One witness had told police that he followed Morgan on foot the night of the shooting because he said Morgan had stolen a loaded handgun from him. The witness said he saw four or five muzzle flashes coming from where White was shot and saw Morgan run from the scene, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.   Continue reading...
