Partners Pitching New Corporate Office Projects in Plano's Hot Legacy Park

Developer KDC - already the biggest builder in West Plano's booming Legacy business park - is teaming up with a landowner to prepare for more construction in the development.KDC has partnered with investor Gabriel Legacy on more than 50 acres in two tracts located east of the Dallas North Tollway.The two firms plan to pitch the prime properties to corporations looking for office locations in the area."KDC has a rich history in Plano's Legacy area and we are proud to continue our development efforts through this joint venture," said Bill Guthrey, senior vice president, KDC. "We are planning and positioning these two tracts with the goal of capturing class-A corporate development projects, which is reflective of the recent development in the area."The two development sites are located on Headquarters Drive and Legacy Drive between the tollway and Preston Road.KDC is currently building Toyota Motor's more than 2 million square foot North American headquarters, a 1 million-square-foot regional office for Liberty Mutual Insurance and a new 1.5 million-square-foot office campus for JPMorgan Chase.All of those huge office developments are located in the $3 billion Legacy West development at the tollway and State Highway 121.The two tracts that KDC and Gabriel Land are marketing are two of the last large building sites in the Legacy park."We are excited to partner with KDC to develop these sites in a very sought after area of the Metroplex," said Dean Eldridge, partner, Gabriel Legacy.  Continue reading...
