Downtown Dallas' Tallest Skyscraper Construction Project Hits a High Point on the Skyline

Building crews have topped out construction on the tallest new addition to Dallas' skyline - the 45-story Amli Fountain Place tower.The green glass residential skyscraper has joined downtown's landmark Fountain Place office tower on the north side of downtown."It's the tallest new residential building in Dallas - close to a half million square feet," said Taylor Bowen, executive vice president with project developer Amli Residential. "We are going to have almost 500 people living here when we are done."This is definitely the most architecturally significant building we have ever done at Amli," he said. "This is our tallest residential tower. In Seattle and Chicago we have a couple that rival this but not as tall."Bowen said the first of the 367 luxury apartments in the new high-rise will be ready for tenants in March."Almost two years ago we had the groundbreaking," he said.The Amli Fountain Place tower is the tallest skyscraper built in downtown Dallas in three decades.  Continue reading...
