Dallas Architects Unveil Uber Elevate Flying Taxi Hubs for Dallas and Frisco

Dallas architect BOKA Powell and the Dallas office of design firm Gensler are taking the wraps off plans for what theythopes will the first of Uber's proposed Uber Elevate aircraft terminals.The transportation hubs would be used by Uber's planned vertical take off and landing air taxis planned to start service in the next few years.The Dallas-Fort Worth area is one of the first U.S. markets set for Uber's revolutionary transit program.BOKA Powell - which in North Texas has designed everything from suburban office buildings to convention hotels and Turtle Creek residential towers - presented plans for the proposed Dallas-area "Skyports" at this week's Uber Elevate Conference in Washington D.C."The design schemes are representative of new architecture being created to support the rollout of Uber's new air taxi service, a revolutionary new mode of transportation being introduced first in North Texas," BOKA Powell's Brooks Powell said in a statement.  Continue reading...
