Could Gov. Greg Abbott Really Force NFL Players to Stand for the National Anthem?

AUSTIN — Gov. Greg Abbott, a lawyer, former judge and lover of the U.S. Constitution, suggested that if the NFL doesn't butt out of Texas' bathroom banning business, turnabout is fair play: the state could force football players to stand for the national anthem.The governor's spokesman said he wasn't serious.
