Construction Underway on Preston Road for Plano Apartments

Developers have broken ground in Plano for a new rental community The Alta 289 apartments are being built on Preston Road just east of Legacy business park. The 288-unit development is a project of Atlanta-based builder Wood Partners. Located just south of Broadway Drive on the east side of Preston, the new rental community is close to major employers including Capital One, McAfee, Children's Medical Center Plano and CA Technologies. Designed by Dallas architect GFF, the project is set to open early next year. "This community will offer top of the line finishes and resident amenities in a highly desirable market with great access to Legacy West and numerous other restaurant, retail and recreational attractions," Ryan Miller, Managing Director for Wood Partners, said in a statement. The apartment community includes a pool and dog park. Wood Partners operates more than 4,300 apartments in Texas. Dallas-Fort Worth is the top apartment building market in the country with more than 35,000 units under construction.  Continue reading...
