Chase's $300 Million Legacy West Project Tops Out

A big part of West Plano's $3 billion Legacy West project is getting closer to a finish.Construction crews this week topped out the buildings for JPMorgan Chase's new 1 million square foot campus.The 50-acre project is under being built on the south side of State Highway 121 just west of the Dallas North Tollway.Construction on Chase's buildings - which will house almost 6,000 people - is scheduled to finish late this year."Our new campus will make it easier for our employees to provide outstanding service and solutions to clients around the world," Steve Hemperly, managing director, consumer and community banking, JPMorgan Chase, said in a statement. "It will also reduce the company's real estate operating costs in the DFW market, savings we'll reinvest in our strategic campuses to provide the facilities, work environment, and accommodations our employees need and deserve."Chase will be consolidating workers now located in Farmers Branch, Dallas and Lewisville into the new project which was designed by architect HKS.Beck Group is the general contractor.The project includes training and conference space, a food court, dining area and coffee shop, health and wellness center and childcare. There will be a 2-story flagship Chase bank branch at the corner of Communications Parkway and Legacy Drive.Chase joins Toyota, FedEx Office and Liberty Mutual Insurance as anchor business residents in Legacy West."JPMorgan Chase is an incredibly important piece of the equation at Legacy West," said Toby Grove, president, KDC.
