Bicyclist Killed in Arlington Crash With Tow Truck Driver

Arlington police are investigating a fatal crash Monday involving a tow truck and a bicyclist.Edward Weston, 37, of Valley View was found lying in the 200 block of North Collins Street about 6:30 p.m., his bicycle nearby, authorities say.Police suspected that the vehicle that hit Weston left the scene.An ambulance crew first spotted the victim and rushed him to Medical City Arlington, where he was pronounced dead about 7 p.m.While police investigated, a tow truck driver noticed damage to his vehicle and contacted police.Investigators believe the truck driver may have hit Weston while pulling onto Collins from a stop sign on Harrison Avenue, just south of Division Street, police said. "Detectives will need to continue examining roadway evidence, statements made by the driver, and check for any surveillance video footage that might have captured the incident to determine what happened," said Lt.
