Abandoned Houston Baby Found Covered in Ants, Blood

An abandoned newborn infant was found covered in ants and blood Thursday morning at a Houston apartment complex.Authorities were called around 5:30 a.m. after a man living in the Bridges of Cypress Creek complex found the baby girl while on the way to work after hearing muffled cries, KTRK-TV reports."I looked down. I said, 'Oh, man, there is a baby right here,'" Albert Peterson, who found the girl, told KTRK. "The baby was brand new."The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the baby — believed to be less than an hour old — was abandoned near bushes and covered in ants and blood.
