2 Injured in Shooting That Prompted Lockout at Euless Elementary School, Police Say

Two men were injured a shooting Tuesday in Euless that led to a lockout at a nearby elementary school, police say. Police said the shooting, which occurred on East Ash Lane, was an isolated incident and not an active shooter situation. The two victims had injuries that weren't considered life-threatening, police said.Footage taken by the KXAS-TV (NBC5) helicopter showed a white sedan with several bullet holes in the driver's side window stopped in an apartment complex parking lot in the 100 block of East Ash. Police did not release any additional information, including a suspect description or the circumstances of the shooting. Nearby Lakewood Elementary, at West Ash Lane and Donley Drive, was put under a lockout as police investigated, meaning no visitors were allowed in or out but classes continued normally, the school said. The lockout was lifted by 2:45 p.m. and the school said dismissal would continue as usual.
