Chef Casey Thompson is leaving Brownstone, the well-received restaurant she helped found in Fort Worth to open a new restaurant in Napa Valley.
SideDish posted a confirmation to the rumor we'd heard floating around.
Our e-mail to operating partner Sam Sameni didn't get a response last week when we tried to confirm Thompson would be leaving.
Our source says the restaurant will be closing for renovations and possibly a new menu. Since Thompson was the "consulting chef" in creating Brownstone's current fare, that rumor doesn't seem too strange.
Additionally, with Thompson moving on to join Sam's Club for a healthy option to their new line of "mealtime solutions," we're sure she'll stay busy.
Thompson was a fan favorite on Top Chef, where she competed in a number of seasons, including "All Stars."
