Julia Bagg is an Emmy® award-winning journalist and bilingual reporter at NBC6. She began her career at WTVJ in November of 2010 and has covered international stories from political milestones in Cuba and Panama, to the Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia.
Bagg loves working for NBC6 in her hometown. The station gave her a start as a student at South Miami Senior High, when she served as a Junior Broadcaster.
A proud Gator, Bagg graduated from the University of Florida with degrees in broadcasting and economics, plus a Minor in Spanish. She earned a master's degree in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Bagg completed most of her graduate studies at Universidad Carlos III in Madrid. She is a Fulbright Scholar in journalism, and helped cover terrorism trial proceedings for CNN International in Madrid.
Her work has earned multiple Emmys, plus honors from the Radio Television Digital News Association, William Randolph Hearst Foundation, and National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
The biggest perk of her job is working together with her sister, fellow reporter Marissa Bagg. Now both moms of three, Julia and Marissa enjoy telling family centered stories through their series, Moms With A Mic.
