Midlothian Ramp Reopens After Fatal Wreck

A ramp in Midlothian was reopened Friday morning after being closed most of Thursday because of a fatal 18-wheeler wreck.

The driver was heading north on the ramp from U.S. 67 to U.S. 287 at about 7:07 a.m. when the truck tipped over, according to police.

Authorities said they pronounced the driver dead at the scene. His name was not yet released.

No other vehicles were involved in the wreck.

Investigators said they are trying to determine if speed or the truck's weight were responsible for the wreck.
