Extended Interview: Mothers Join Forces To Raise Awareness

Sherilyn Bennett is a mother and author of a book called, “Boy: Defending Our Black Sons’ Identity In America.” She’s joined forces with other Black mothers to unite and raise awareness. Gwen Carr, whose son Eric Garner was killed by police in New York, wrote the forward for the book. Both women joined Vince Sims for a conversation about why it’s important to share these stories.
