Community Conversations: Empowerment Week 2020

A big effort is underway to steer 18-to-24-year-old North Texans to the polls this election season. “Empowerment Week 2020” is a nonpartisan, student effort to get young people registered and motivated to vote by using social media platforms. The initiative is the brainchild of “Vote – Voice of the Empowered,” a student-led group in Tarrant County that helps young voters navigate the voting process. In Tuesday’s Community Conversation, high school student Tulsi Lohani tells NBC5’s Deborah Ferguson about the change the group would like to see.
