Community Conversation: Study to Help Those With Alzheimer's in Communities of Color

African Americans are around twice as likely to get Alzheimer’s disease and researchers in Fort Worth want to find out why with help from the community. The UNT Health Science Center is recruiting 1,000 African Americans for a first of its kind study into Alzeihmer’s and communities of color. NBC 5’s Bianca Castro spoke with head researcher at the Institute for Translational Research, Dr. Sid O’Bryant and Tarrant County Commissioner Roy Brooks in today’s Conversation: A Call for Change. For information about participation in the HABLE study, contact the Institute for Translational Research at 817-735-2963.
