On Thursday, widespread high clouds began to spread in from west Texas. But Friday, low clouds and humidity increased across the area, and there was some patchy drizzle.
Our first chance for showers arrives overnight and into early Saturday morning. There may even be some thunder with more substantial downpours to the east of DFW.
A Pacific cold front will then sweep through before noon, bringing rapidly clearing skies and warmer temperatures for Saturday afternoon. Sunday will also be warm under partly cloudy skies. Any rain on Sunday should remain east of Dallas.
But another system Sunday night will bring more cloud cover, rain and even thunderstorms into Monday morning.
