Severe weather threat has passed, clearing the way for a beautiful weekend

NBC Universal, Inc.

The severe weather threat has diminished this evening, as a cold front has already ushered in cooler Friday evening conditions across the metroplex. However, a few thunderstorms with heavy downpours remain possible, and flooding in some counties continue to be a concern.

The rain will gradually clear out overnight, leading to a sunny weekend. Temperatures will be a bit cooler Saturday with a high in the 60s. Sunday will be milder with highs in the 70s.
