A cold front brought welcome rains to north Texas on Wednesday. DFW Airport received 1.51 inches of rain, the most in one day since last March.
As a result of the front, clouds and a north breeze kept Thursday's high temperature to only 69, alomost 10 degrees below normal. And the next few nights will be the coolest so far this autumn.
DFW Airport will see a low of 52 tonight. And areas west of Fort Worth will drop into the mid 40's. But the coolest temperatures will occur Friday night. By then DFW will drop to 50. Most of north Texas will be well down into the 40's. And some areas along the Red River could actually drop to the upper 30's for the first time this fall.
It will be a beautiful weekend, with sunshine and highs in the 70's.
