The sleet and freezing rain that moved through Dallas and Fort Worth Sunday morning is moving into East Texas.

A system of light sleet and freezing rain developed over Stephenville and near Mineral Wells, and moved into the Dallas Fort Worth area mid-morning Sunday.

Bridges and overpasses quickly accumulated sleet and ice in downtown Dallas. In Fort Worth, according to MedStar, they responded to 15 crashes during the wintry mix.

The freezing rain moved out of North Texas and temperatures quickly rose above freezing by early afternoon.

A little sun even made an appearance in the sky after the wintry mix moved out.
