The rain in North Texas continues Tuesday morning. There's a 50 percent chance of brief downpours and lightning with the best chances east of Interstate 35E.

Strong storms were seen during the early morning hours in southeast Tarrant County over Kennedale and Mansfield. A few storms popped up in Collin County around 5:45 a.m.

The storms may linger into the mid-morning hours before tapering off about noon.

We'll warm back up into the lower 90s by Tuesday afternoon.
