With temperatures dipping into the low 30's for parts of North Texas, Saturday turned into a snow day for some.
"We went to get our nails done, but it turned out to be a bad day, since it's snowing," said 7-year-old Kimber Simmons.
"It was 70 degrees here yesterday, and we got snow today," Simmons said.
Shelly Hughes and his co-workers at Amelia's Attic couldn't stop looking out the window, thrilled to see snow that was other than the kind from holiday decorations.
"Ever since I was a kid, I always looked forward to the snow," Hughes said. "Some years we'd get quite a bit of it here in North Texas. Some years we don't. But I think it's pretty. I enjoy it."
But true to Texas form, the snow was gone soon after it came. There was no accumulation on the roads, or even the grass - the perfect kind of snow storm.
