NBC 5 Forecast: Dangerously Hot for Days

Today will be the third day in a row with triple digit temperatures, with many more ahead. Building high pressure and the return of Saharan dust will lead to a hot and hazy day across North Texas.

Highs will climb into the triple digits again this afternoon and stay there through the rest of the extended forecast. We could be approaching record territory by the end of the week.

Please take the necessary precautions as we all endure this prolonged streak of hot weather. Try to limit your time outside ... especially between 10 AM and 6 PM. If you are outside for a long duration, take plenty of breaks and stay hydrated.
