High winds snapped two power poles in Richardson Tuesday morning, knocking out electricity in the immediate area.
The poles are located in the 2100 block of Alamo Road, just off of the Campbell Road exit, east of U.S. 75.
Businesses in the area, including a sushi restaurant, were without electricity as of 11:30 a.m.
Richardson police closed Alamo Road until the poles can be replaced and the power restored to the area. There is no word when they expect to reopen the road.
