Flooding Rain Falls on North Texas



    Numerous showers and a few thunderstorms will continue across much of North Texas into early afternoon according to the National Weather Service.

    Most of the heavy rainfall will occur along the Interstate 20 corridor.

    Moderate to heavy rainfall and occasional lightning could be seen in many locations. At 9 a.m. several locations reported 3 to 5 inches of rain, according to Meteorologist Samantha Davies.

    Flooding in low-lying areas can be expected Saturday especially across Johnson and Southern Tarrant Counties.

    The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Warning for Johnston County that lasts until 12:45 p.m. Do not drive your vehicle into areas where water covers the road.

    The shower and thunderstorm activity will continue over the next few hours thanks to a stationary front south of I-20.
