Win $2,500 Gas Card in Toll Name Contest

Contest ends Nov. 4

Want to fill your gas tank on someone else's dime?

The LBJ Express Infrastructure Group, partners with The North Central Texas Council of Governments and the Texas Department of Transportation, are giving away gas cards worth thousands of dollars to those who participate in a campaign to name a new toll lane system.

The new system upgrades existing lanes and add new lanes on high-traffic sections of LBJ in Dallas County and along Interstate 820 and state Highway 121/183 in Tarrant County.

The existing lanes will still be non-tolled, but the new lanes will offer drivers a variable-rate toll option that changes due to demand and traffic flow. The variable rate is designed to keep traffic moving at a minimum of 50 mph.

The grand prize is $2,500, but there are several secondary prizes also worth $1,000, $500 and 10 prizes of $100. Public funds are not being used for the contest and you don't even have to have the best submission to win.  A winner will be selected from all eligible entries. To take part, go to namethelanes.com to submit your entry and register for your prize before the contest ends Nov. 4.

You can only enter once, must be 18 and must live in one of the 16 counties covered by the North Central Texas Council of Governments (Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Erath, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Navarro, Palo Pinto, Parker, Rockwall, Somvervell, Tarrant and Wise).
