Construction that was supposed to last all weekend in Arlington is wrapping up early.
The north and southbound lanes of state Highway 360 near Division Street were supposed to be closed, with detours planned until 5 a.m. Monday morning.
Crews wrapped up the project early, so the roadway reopened late Saturday.
"Construction on State Highway 360 had lane closures and a detour scheduled for the entire weekend, impacting the northbound and southbound lanes of the highway. That construction work was completed early and this afternoon the highway traffic, which was impacted for construction on the Division Street bridge, is now re-opened," Arlington police said in a statement.
The closure/detour was necessary while crews work on the reconstruction of the Division Street bridge and a railroad brige spanning 360. Completion of the entire project is scheduled for summer 2012.
