It's sure to be a traffic nightmare in Irving on Sunday
The Texas Department of Transportation will close Highway 114 in both directions at Loop 12.
Traffic will be diverted onto the frontage roads just before Loop 12.
The lanes will be closed from 6 a.m. Sunday until 6 a.m. Monday.
The highway is being closed so that crews can work on the first phase of the diamond interchange between Loop 12 and State Highway 114 around Texas Stadium.
The $224 million project is expected to be completed in 2012.
