Nine special needs children escaped injury Monday afternoon when their bus crashed into a utility pole.
The bus was transporting children from Lowery Road Elementary School when it went off of the road and struck the pole near Lowery Road and Cooks Lane.
There was one reported injury from the crash, an adult male believed to be the driver. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene and took that individual to an area hospital.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
