A semitrailer carrying acetone overturned Wednesday night on eastbound Interstate 20 near Bonnie View Road in Dallas.

Dallas County Sheriff Deputies said somehow the 18-wheeler crashed, skidded through a side barrier and then flipped on its side.

At least two other vehicles were involved in the crash.

A full hazmat crew responded to the scene and was working to make sure the acetone, a type of paint thinner, stays contained.

Crews told NBC 5 they plan to transfer the liquid inside the 18-wheeler to another truck before turning it upright.

Eastbound traffic on the highway was down to one lane.

Paramedics transported at least three people to Baylor Medical Center.

Deputies said all of the injured people are expected to be recover.
