One Hurt in Chain Reaction Crash on Stemmons Freeway in Dallas

One person was transported to a hospital in Dallas Wednesday night after a driver lost control and caused a chain-reaction crash, sheriff's deputies say.

The crash happened at about 10:20 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Stemmons Freeway, just before the Inwood Road exit.

Dallas County sheriff's deputies believed one of the cars involved swerved to avoid hitting an object on the freeway and collided with another vehicle, which then caused other vehicles to crash.

Video captured at the scene showed a silver sedan flipped upside down. A total of five vehicles were involved in the incident.

One person had injuries not considered life-threatening, deputies said.

No other injuries were reported.
