Man Killed by DART Train in Carrollton

Officials say man "fell into a train"

Dallas Area Rapid Transit officials said Friday a man was killed after he was hit by a train in Carrollton.

The man was standing on the platform at the Downtown Carrollton DART station when he "fell into a train" when it was leaving the station at about 5 p.m., DART spokesman Morgan Lyons said.

He was dragged about 20 feet by the train. The Downtown Carrollton Station was closed while DART investigated the incident.

The station reopened at about 7:20 p.m., and the Green Line trains were resuming their normal schedules, DART said.
