Mile Stretch of I-30 in Fort Worth Closed Until 6am

You may want to avoid driving Interstate 30 west of downtown Fort Worth late Saturday night or allow lots of extra time.

Road crews will completely shutdown all east and westbound lanes of I-30 from University Drive to Summit Avenue. The closure is needed to help connect I-30 to the new Chisholm Trail Parkway.

The closure will begin Saturday at 9:00 p.m. and last until Sunday at 6:00 a.m. It was pushed back one night becomes of storms on Friday night.

GETTING AROUND THE DETOURS

Eastbound drivers will take the Summit Avenue/Cherry Street/Lancaster Avenue/8th Avenue exit and continue on the ramp toward Cherry Street/Lancaster Avenue. Police will then direct traffic back to I-30.

Westbound drivers will be directed to exit at Summit Avenue. They will drive along the westbound I-30 frontage road. Drivers will then re-enter I-30 after Forest Park Boulevard.
