Drivers Beware! US 75 Closing in Plano, Richardson

If you commute through Plano or Richardson, expect major traffic delays this weekend.

The Texas Department of Transportation announced that U.S. 75 will be closed in both directions Saturday, Nov. 11 at 3 a.m.

The closure runs from East Renner Road in Richardson to 15th Street in Plano so crews can demolish the Plano Parkway bridge.

In addition to the closure along U.S. 75, the direct connector from westbound PGBT to northbound U.S. 75 will be closed; the direct connector from southbound U.S. 75 to east- and westbound PGBT will be closed and the direct connector from eastbound PGBT to northbound U.S. 75 will be closed.

All lanes were expected to be reopened at 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 13.

Northbound and southbound 75 traffic will be diverted onto the frontage roads. Drivers should use Alma Drive, K Avenue and Park Boulevard to avoid construction.

Message boards will be placed nearby to alert motorists of the closures.
