Southbound I-35W in Fort Worth Reopens After Fatal Crash

Authorities have identified the two people who were killed in a three-vehicle crash that injured four other people and closed part of Interstate 35W in north Fort Worth late Monday. [[363205471,C]]

A vehicle was rear-ended by a larger vehicle, closing all southbound lanes of I-35W from Golden Triangle Boulevard to Heritage Trace Parkway just before 9 p.m., according to authorities.

Fort Worth police said 19-year-old Gabriella Estelle and 23-year-old Alexander Trejo were in the back seat of the vehicle that was struck and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Four other people were transported to nearby hospitals by ambulance, according to Fort Worth Police Department Lt. K.D. Rowell.

Authorities reopened the interstate at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Two people were killed in a crash along southbound Interstate 35W in north Fort Worth Monday evening, emergency officials say.
