One northbound lane of Loop 12 at Irving Boulevard is expected to be closed for several hours Monday due to a crash.
Irving police said a bridge was hit during a single-vehicle crash Monday morning and that the bridge needed to be inspected for damage.
From Chopper 5 pieces of concrete could be seen in the right hand lane, underneath the bridge. A flat-bed trailer carrying a large piece of digging equipment was spotted stopped about 100 yards beyond the bridge.
The crash has blocked the right lane of northbound Loop 12 -- the two left lanes remain open to traffic, as does the Irving Boulevard bridge.
Officials said the closure is expected to last until 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. Monday.
