Semi Crash Causes I-30 Lane Closures in Dallas

An 18-wheeler crashed into a guardrail on Interstate 30 causing lane closures in Dallas Wednesday morning.

The crash happened at about 4 a.m. when the 18-wheeler was traveling southbound I-35E to eastbound I-30 and was unable to complete the turn. The 18-wheeler went through a guardrail, crossed several lanes and stopped when it slammed into a concrete barrier.

A good Samaritan stopped at the crash and pulled the truck driver out of the cab, just before the 18-wheeler’s cab burst into flames.

An ambulance responded to the crash and the truck driver was taken to a local hospital.

The crash caused major lane closures in Dallas that lightened up at about 5:30 a.m.

Crews cleared the area and all lanes reopened at about 7 a.m.
