Backup on Interstate 30 in Dallas as Crews Clean Construction Debris

Traffic was backed up for about 5 miles along Interstate 30 near Lamar Street in Dallas early Tuesday due to a crash.

In the crash, an tractor-trailer spilled its load of sheet metal onto the roadway, delaying traffic for hours.

Deputies with the Dallas County Sheriff's Department were called to the crash at  about 5:30 a.m.

The cause of the crash and the conditions of those involved are not known.

Backups reached Loop 12, delaying drivers for about an hour before the roadway reopened.
