Traffic Turns From Retail to Garage Sales

Like a department store in your driveway (with a bigger inventory of fast food kids meal prizes than Macy's), the once humble garage sale is now one of the top places to shop for a cash-strapped consumer.

Jeannie Kever's article from the Houston Chronicle highlights this trend -- which actually started far before Christmastime -- but we think post-Christmas "garage-salers" could do well by picking up the gifts left unwanted, unopened, or unliked for much less than even retail would charge.
