Everyone knows Frisco is home to IKEA, soccer champs FC Dallas , and the new Texas Legends; but their boutique scene gives us a whole new reason to make the short drive north. We shopped some of the best local haunts including Sussie's, Blue Door, Southern Bliss, and The Good Steward to find out what we'd been missing.
We were impressed with the well-edited selections at Frisco's top shops, and legendary store Sussie's is an excellent example. Owner Rory Boyd stocks diverse pieces and labels that make her boutique the perfect destination for getting dressed up or keeping it casual. Our picks are the rock-n-roll, studded and beaded tank dress by Single that we're loving for the holidays, and a just-in pair of slouchy, olive boyfriend pants from Vince. Shop Sussie's after December 27th to take advantage of their 50% off post-Christmas sale.
Our stop at Blue Door was beyond fun, because in spite of their wide array of merchandise -- they've got it all from home decor to stationery -- their clothing selection was single-minded with a decidedly girly, romantic feel. Since there's nothing we love more than lacy, gauzy frocks and tops, we adored much of what we saw on their racks. Topping our list at Blue Door was a gorgeous, Battenburg lace blouse with a scalloped hem by 4 Love And Liberty.
Southern Bliss also carries a variety of types of merchandise, and their very casual clothing collection will help you bolster your wear-it-daily wardrobe pieces. We truly want their silk, charcoal long sleeved top by Ryu that's a steal for only $67.50.
Our last destination was a newly minted consignment shop that sits in the prettiest building on Frisco's Main Street. The Good Steward carries labels like Moschino, Nicole Miller, and St. John at resale prices. It's easily the most well organized shop of it's kind we've every been in, and they've got a pair of Prada slipper-flats in pink brocade that we covet. It's also worth noting that the The Good Steward hosts a monthly, storewide 20% off sale during the last Saturday of every month.
