Back in July 2009, we were on-site to witness the grand opening of Kidrobot's store in Dallas, along with Erykah Badu and a long line of customers ready to buy tons of Kidrobot toys. Now, less than a year later, the Mockingbird Station store is closing up shop.
Apparently, the store was always considered a "pop-up shop" by the company -- though we never heard that term used anywhere -- and they had always planned on shutting down sometime.
Now we know the final date will be May 31.
Heading out there now would be a great idea, not only to get the chance to buy the unique toys, but also because they're running a wicked sale of 30 percent off all items (except for new releases) and 50 percent off select cases.
