I See Dead People's Jewelry

Bidding on 200 items has started online

The Dallas County Sheriff's Department has some great deals on jewelry -- if you're willing to rock bling taken off dead people.

The department is auctioning more than 200 pieces of unclaimed jewelry from the county medical examiner's office and Parkland Memorial Hospital, the Dallas Morning News reported.

What can you bid on? Everything from personalized charms and bracelets to a gold medallion valued at more than $1,300.

Of course your name probably needs to be Victor or Javier to go for the personalized bracelets, and some lucky woman named Jennifer can get a Carrie Bradshaw-esque name necklace.

You can see what items are available and place a bid at LonestarOnline.com. Rest assured the minimum bids are fair, the county hired an appraiser to set the starting prices.

The county's general fund will get the auction's proceeds.
