What would you do if you won a $500,000 house? One lucky Flower Mound family is the new winner of the St. Jude Dream home drawing.
For the Sierra family, winning the St. Jude Dream Home, is a dream come true.
"I just thought I throw my hand in, you know, buy one ticket and if I didn't win, money goes to a good cause, and if I win which I didn't think I would obviously, said David Sierra."But he did win, and win big, said David Sierra."
Sierra paid 100 dollars for the winning ticket, on-line back in May.
In return he will get this 4 bedroom 3 and a half bath -500, thousand dollar luxury home in the Lavaca Trail Estates in Colleyville!
He says when he broke the news to his new wife, she didn't know what to think,
"He come in and I saw his face and I was thinking someone die in the house, and he was talking to me but he can't breathe, I don't understand, said his wife Brigitte."
The couple re-united after 20 years on-line and just recently married two months ago, now they will enjoy their new home with their 5 year old daughter Stefany.
"We are extremely blessed we just got married two months ago, it was my birthday a week a go today, it just seems like planets align for us and uh we are very grateful."
The family will have two weeks to make arrangements to have the property tax paid on the property before they can move in. They said they want to sale their old home and live in their new
luxurious dream home.
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital raised more than a million dollars, this is the first time they sold out of tickets in 8 years of the event.
