Home Sales Drop, Prices Stay Steady

Your house's price is staying steady, if you can sell it.

Only about 6,000 homes were sold in May, contributing to a 24% drop in pre-owned home sales in the first five months of '09.

Luckily, if you can close the sale, the price is likely still right. Median home prices have dropped 4% for the year, but the data indicates that the drop is likely influenced by the harder hit high-dollar real estate.

Median prices for DFW now sit at $150,000 and stay on the market for an average of 79 days.
