Wingstop Expands South of the Border

Wingstop is winging it across the border. The Dallas-based wing chain plans to expand internationally with a franchise agreement that could bring up to 10 restaurants to Mexico in the next two years.

With over 650 locations open or under development, the executives of the company are looking at the solid numbers generated by locations in Hispanic markets as proof that they'll do well further south.

"This is a major milestone in Wingstop history," said Jim Flynn, CEO of Wingstop. "Our first international franchise is a huge step for our brand and we could not have chosen a more dedicated and talented group of Brand Partners."

Wingstop is still committed to the DFW market, though, with a new five-year deal to be the Cowboy's exclusive wing-slingers.
