Sweet New Addition to The Mansion Culinary Team

French chef treats diners with goodies

The Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek has hired a new pastry chef named Nicolas Blouin.

Chef Blouin grew up in Toulouse, France and began his pastry training at the age of fifteen. He trained at the Pastry School of Muret (chocolatier Christophe Paume is an alum) before moving stateside to work at the Disney World World Swan and Dolphin resort hotel.

There he learned from two-time world champion pastry chef Laurent Branlard.

Blouin has an affinity for simple, strong classic flavors. His desserts are the kind of confections, which often illicit the response, "It's too pretty to eat!"

But once diners dive into one of his whimsical treats, such as the raspberry and vanilla cheesecake surprise with margarita sorbet, all guilt is assuaged.

Here's a list of the top culinary schools in the U.S.
